With no spoken words, it transcends language barriers and welcomes everyone into a world of sound, movement, and laughter.
Clown BiBi(Choi, Eun-Bi) was born from two mime artists’ love and grew up in the Small Theater Dolce, surrounded by creativity. What began as a child’s playful habit of tossing shoes eventually blossomed into her signature clown-mime style. After performing and touring worldwide with various plays, she deepened her storytelling skills and later adapted notable works like ‘Night, Mother’ and ‘Sea Horse’. She created her signature character “Clown BiBi” and solo show *“Janitor BiBi,”*followed by Restaurant BiBi, Let Me Pitch In, and The Tale of a Jester. Today, she continues to direct and perform across mime, clown mime, and theater.
Founded in 1979 in a converted ice storage, the Small Theater DOLCE has become a cornerstone of Incheon’s theater scene and a “second home” for countless artists. Many well-known Korean performers began their careers on its stage, and today DOLCE continues to nurture new talent while hosting world-class artists and local audiences through the Incheon International Clown Mime Festival.
